Thank you for sharing your thoughts with our linemen. Check out what your neighbors have submitted below:
Hi, we saw a couple of the super sized PNM trucks at a house fire in our neighborhood. They were helping to cut power and turning off power the the house that was completely engulfed by flames. The lineman and firefighters were clearly working together to keep everyone safe. We just wanted to thank them (and the AFD) for doing this in the middle of the nite and keeping us all safe. Thank you! We appreciate your expertise and hard work, (Belair neighborhood.)

I for one really appreciate what you do, the risks, and the inconvenience to your families when you have to be out in the cold/heat/rain/or snot to keep power working. I have a grid-connected solar system (permitted, and blessed by PNM) and have taken great care to ensure that is can be safely disconnected in the event you are working in my area. As an aside, I am present in the progress of having a battery backup system (again, with all safety precautions, per PNM requirement). With a battery backup, I won't be one of the customers complaining and frustrated 🙂
Thanks so much for all your hard work to keep the lights on! Be well!
We appreciate all you do behind the scenes to keep our homes and society functioning 😊👍

My son worked as a lineman for a while. I know how dangerous your work can be and recognize that it takes a certain kind of courage to do that difficult a job and be certain you don't make mistakes. You are appreciated. Thank you!
Effie, Cedar Crest, NM
Your daily care to keep the grid running and resilient helps us make our livelihoods and stay connected with our communities! Thank you!

We are so thankful for every one of these linemen and the job they do, especially in Hurley, Bayard, and Grant County, New Mexico. We bless you and pray for you every time there is an outage here. You guys are THE best in the world! Keep it up, and I, as a Grant County veteran, am always glad to meet you and support you and your families.

Guess what – my dad was a lineman in Texas In the 70s and 80s. It was hard work but he enjoyed being outdoors and everyone he worked with. I got to see him go up a couple of times. That’s when I realized what he did was very important and really hard work that deserved a lot of recognition. Thank you all for all you do!!!! We appreciate it.
Thank you linemen for keeping our homes with power so we can take care of our families everyday. Couldn’t do it without you guys. We appreciate you, stay safe out there.
Sam, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Thank you so much for keeping our electricity on. You have a dangerous job. Going out in horrible weather conditions to keep us with power. A big heartfelt Thank You! Prayers for your safety.
I just wanted to make certain that I thanked all you PNM linemen. I know that your work doesn’t get mentioned enough in our community. But I definitely appreciate you for all you do. My uncle was a lineman when I was a child, and then later, my brother in law was/is a lineman in Washington state. I know the long hours they have put in at times. So, again, Thank You for all you do to help make our community safe and comfortable.
Wendy, Albuquerque, New Mexico
We very much appreciate all of you who work so hard to keep our power on. Thank you!!!
Gloria, Santa Fe
Without electricity our modern day world would not exist. Thank you for your dedication to quality distribution!!
Don, Las Vegas, NM
Many thanks for ALL you do on your dangerous job!!
Jerri, Santa Fe
I got to make 60 cycle electricity for ~34 years.
Very much impressed with your dependability (I thought Wyoming had strong winds), and a killer, relentless sun. Never get a bump when you’re doing major work– changing out sections of poles and replacing cross-arms, etc. When the power is out, it’s not for long. Well done. Mike Nuss, Deming

You don’t know me but I am a fan of yours.
I have experienced excellent service from PNM over the past 40 years and the main reason is how quickly they resolve service interruptions. I know you are the one who does this difficult work and I want you to know how much I appreciate and admire your skills.
Thank you , thank you and THANK YOU!
Being a retired Lineman. In my days we used sticks to do most of the work. At least we had 6 feet clearence. You guys/gals are rubber gloving and it is in your Face! Please, practice all safety rules. They are there to protect you. Be Safe out there…

Thank you for your dedication to keeping the power on day and night, in good weather and bad and during emergencies.
Faye, Belen, NM
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you do, seen and unseen. We all take for granted that our power works simply by flipping a switch and forget that there are people out there everyday making sure that when we do flip a switch that the power is available. So with that said, please accept this thank you and know that you are appreciated!
Elenita, Albuquerque NM
Thanks for electrifying my life! I appreciate the dangerous work you do to ensure the lights stay on! All the best to you! Cheers, Susan

Thank you for your dedication and all your efforts each day to keep the power on! We appreciate your support to our communities!
Just wanted to give a shout out to the hard working men and women of our PNM line department. I have one in my family. Some of you may know or heard of my dad James (Chick) Herrin who worked for PNM in the early 70’s-80’s. He was the first lineman inducted into the Linemen Hall of Fame. He may have instructed some of you currently at PNM. Thanks to all that help keep the lights on!
Kelly, Albuquerque, NM
In honor of linemen day/month I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you lineman for all your hard work! You sacrifice so much. Out at all hours of the night and/or weekends and missing time with your families. Now, during the McBride fire in Ruidoso/ Nogal you all sacrificed hours of no sleep for days so customer’s could have their electricity restored during a dangerous situation. Something many customers/ people take for granted! We are proud of you son. May God take care of you and be with you always for your selfless sacrifices!
Love you, Dad and Mom
We know that we can depend on our electric power because you are willing to get out in all kinds of wind and weather, day or night.
Thank you for all the brave lineman out there ! You are very much appreciated !!!

He walks through the door at the end of his day,
just kisses his wife he has not much to say.
His brain is still tired from working lines hot,
Its a lineman thing this tired brain he’s got.
From watching each move he’s made all day long,
To watching his buddy so nothing went wrong.
High in the air they work hot primary,
I’ve heard people say that job’s just too scary.
With his hands still wrinkled from wearing the gloves,
He touches the face of the woman he loves.
His boots feel so heavy as he unties the laces,
They’re old, worn and dirty they’ve been many places.
With his head in his hands he takes in a sigh,
And thanks the good Lord today he didn’t die.
With a thin rubber glove protecting his life,
The Lord brought him home to be with his wife.
Some say he’s crazy to work like he does,
He can’t see the juice he can just hear it buzz.
But he made it home safely and tonight he’ll pray,
That tomorrow God walks with him through one more day.

As a former lineman/cable splicer for a telephone co. in northern Wis. for 30 years, I can sympathize on some of the worst weather conditions imaginable that you get called out to work in.
